Neck lift surgeries are performed to treat problems in the neck area that increase with aging, such as wrinkles, sagging, thickening, and displacement.

The effect of gravity on the skin, tissue, and muscles causes visible sagging and changes in the neck. Curved folds form on the neck, and fat accumulates under the chin. Along with changes in the face, a noticeable difference in appearance is observed.

In neck and lower face lift procedures, an incision is sometimes made in front of and behind the ears, or under the chin. The skin of the face and neck is freed, and excess skin is removed. If necessary, fat under the chin and jawline can be removed with liposuction.

Neck lifts are often planned in combination with face lifts. These surgeries are usually performed under general anesthesia.

As with any surgery, there will be scars, but since they are made under the chin, behind the jawline, and in front and behind the ears, they are not noticeable.

In the postoperative period, mild pain, bruising, and moderate swelling may occur during the first few days.
